Tunisian Terrorism Researcher Denied Entry to Egypt
Tunisian researcher Amal Qaramy was invited to lecture in Egypt about terrorism by Alexandria Library. But as she arrived at Cairo airport, her mobile phone and laptop were confiscated and she was denied access to Egypt and returned to her country. It has been suggested that her articles published by Alshorooq newspaper might have been be the reason behind such action, even though they were not critical of the Egyptian regime directly, in addition to her writings about feminist trends such as her book titled “Differences in the Arab-Islamic culture.”.
