Following taking the legal procedures necessary and the security measures the parcels were unpacked; and different artefacts were found, including statues of pottery, small copper statues, 5 coins and a Bible in English.
The seized artefacts were exhibited before a committee of specialists of antiquities at the Ministry of State, who confirmed that the seized artefacts were original.
The British couple were interrogated. They claimed they bought the items as gifts for their friends. The incident was filed and the public prosecutor was notified to initiate an investigation.
