Canadian parliament website deems new MP’s cleavage too saucy, photoshops it out

Now who fancies a game of spot the difference? Great news, because we’ve got a fun one for you above. That’s right… Canadian MP Rathika Sitsabaiesan’s cleavage has disappeared! How on earth did that happen?
In a word: photoshop. In some more words: photoshop used by someone at the Canadian parliament, who apparently deemed the merest suggestion that Rathika might have breasts under her top just a little too fruity for Canada’s voting public.
Canada’s own “Contrarian” blog spotted the alteration when the image on the parliament’s website (on the left here of course) gave the impression that Rathika was wearing some sort of skin-coloured breastplate.
It’s a bit of a shame for the newly-elected 29 year old, who recently became the country’s first Tamil MP in a parliament full of white, Anglo-Saxon men.
Still, we could be wrong — perhaps she herself ordered the change, or maybe someone working for her or her party. As soon as we find out, we’ll let you know. In the meantime, there’s no denying it… that’s some bad photoshop, people, and we all know it.
