Entries are invited in the following categories (note this year’s changes):
Rory Peck Award for News This award honours the work of freelance cameramen and camerawomen in the coverage of a news event where the focus is on the immediacy of the story. Online and broadcast news packages or agency rushes/un-voiced pieces are accepted in this category. (Duration: up to 10 minutes)

Rory Peck Award for News Features This award honours the work of freelance cameramen and camerawomen in news features that look beyond the immediacy of the news. Entries will have been broadcast within an online news platform, broadcast news programme or current affairs magazine programme. (Duration: up to 20 minutes)

Sony Impact Award for Current Affairs This award honours the work of freelance cameramen and camerawomen in long-form current affairs that examines a single issue, story or situation, and makes an impact on the viewer. Entries will have been broadcast as stand-alone films or features, or as one of a strand. (Duration: 20 to 60 minutes)
In all categories the awards recognise quality of camerawork, but also take into account individual endeavour, initiative and journalistic ability.
Entries must have had their first broadcast (television, agency feed, recognised online news publisher) between 1 JUNE 2014 and 31 MAY 2015.
