Iraqi journalist killed by ISIS today
AWMWC in UK mourn Iraqi journalist Raad al-Azzawi killed by ISIS today.
According to Al Masalah News, a security source said on Friday that the terrorists of ISIS have executed the Iraqi journalist Raad al-Azzawi and his brother and two other people from the Samra village in Tikrit, Salah ad Din province.
The source said that ISIS have killed al-Azzawi, who was abducted a month ago from his home by cutting his throat.
al-Azzawi, worked as a photographer at the office of the governor of Salahuddin in addition to his work at Sama Saladin channel.
The source said “the people of the village have found today four decapitated bodies dumped on the side of the road in the village of Samra.”
The JFO announced on the third of May 2014 that Iraqi Journalists are being killed, detained, assaulted and prevented from executing their journalism duties.
The overall violations documented this year amounted to 328 cases; 103 journalists were detained or arrested , 162 were prevented from doing their jobs, 63 assaulted and beaten , while 4 were victims of armed attacks, 71 journalists were prosecuted, 4 media establishments were closed and their contents have been confiscated and 20 Iraqi journalists were killed.
