Bristol NHS Celebrates Creativity and Wellbeing by Arts Festival at Southmead Hospital
A three-day Fresh Arts Festival is being held on 16-18 October in the Brunel building at Southmead Hospital Bristol , to celebrate the role that the arts playing in bringing the building to life and connecting to the communities who use it.
Events will include a writer in residence, staff wellbeing workshops, live music on wards and in waiting rooms, performances by local choirs, artist-led knitting groups, printmaking workshops and the Emergency Poet – a poetry on prescription service open to all. A live theatre show will share your memories and tell stories of working at the old Southmead and Frenchay hospitals.

Speed Derby
On the last day of the festival, the finale of a Speed Derby will be held in the Atrium. Staff and local residents who have made model racing cars with artists Assemble and Join will go head to head on a giant race track to see who the ultimate winner will be.
