An Exhibition of Calligraphy works by contemporary Masters in Dubai

On the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Total Arts has selected a variety of works from masters who devoted their art to the beauty of scripts and texts.

Calligraphy and the art of the books developed as artists dedicated their time to copying the Holy Quran. The various scripts and styles emerged over time with specific attributes to each. Some of the artists who devoted their art to one or more of these reached high levels of mastery.

In modern days, some master calligraphists are able to bridge times and styles. They are able to combine their mastery of classical works with innovative ways and some use painting to achieve works that celebrate the beauty of texts from the Quran.

Works from renowned contemporary, and accomplished artists are displayed for this exhibit. Some of these artists are Hussein Zendehroudi, Amir Falsafi, Esrafil Shirchi, Ali Shirazi, E. Sadeqzadeh and Mohamad Yaghoubian.
