In Saudi Arabia wedding parties are segregated as everything else and every other activity. Women usually come back from the women’s parties with some of their own comments, impressions and gossip.
In this cartoon, the husband tells his wife: ‘I know what you are going to say, as usual… I have been the best woman to dance at the party, ..You can’t imagine the number of women who asked for my hand for their sons’.
In this caricature few hidden messages about women’s limited concerns from the cartoonist point of view, and doubts on his side of what women tell their husbands, besides women’s concerns about their age, youth and being desirable. Men in this caricature seem to lack the romantic conversations and comments women are trying hard to squeeze out of them. It is a one sided story since it is a male point of view.
