On the 28th July two Green Party members are having a hearing with a high court judge in their push to ensure equal opportunities for women and those with disabilities to stand in parliament. It’s not currently possible to have job-share MPs and they think that is wrong. The lawyers have advised them it is also unlawful. That’s why they are fighting this case. The judge will make a decision about whether their case is ‘arguable’.
